Meet the Parents

The last two days have been significant milestones in my teaching career. The students have been preparing oral presentations for a month now, and their parents came to watch them perform yesterday and today. These kids really are incredibly bright, and it was inspiring to watch them as they shared information on their favorite animal, a foreign country, a recipe they enjoy making, or a party they'd like to plan (different topics for different classes). The students already know how to say more things in English than I will likely ever know in Korean. Good thing I now have a four day weekend to explore Seoul, rest, and finally pick up and study the Korean language books I have. My goal:  to be able to read all the letters of the Korean alphabet by end of day Tuesday. Will keep you posted.

  1. Your students are learning English so well because they have a caring and enthusiastic teacher named Miss Jennifer Emmons.
It's okay to have pride in my daughter, right?
    Love you,
    mom
