White Christmas

All week they predicted it would be a white Christmas and then.... the temperature crept into the high 30sF (or low 40s -not sure), and it started to rain early this afternoon.

I'd gotten over my disappointment by the time my dad and I arrived in Insadong. We had lunch at a charming restaurant and walked around the area before church. The service was really special -a collaboration with several of the international congregations. Great music, good message, and warm fellowship. Afterward, a group of us meandered through Myeong-dong, and it was absolutely packed -a massive sea of people, shoulder to shoulder.  Fun in a crazy-chaotic way.

And then suddenly... snow! Big flakes that continued to fall throughout the evening. It's even sticking to the ground, so the city looks like it's coated in white icing.  A sweet and pretty ending to a memorable day.

Wishing you a very Happy Christmas. May the one true gift capture, or re-capture, your heart.

  2. Merry Christmas Jennifer and Steve. If it is any consolation it is raining in Bethlehem today. Glad your safe and that your Dad is with you for Christmas.
