Generally speaking, my life in Korea has little resemblance to my life back in the States. From how I go about buying groceries or commuting or conversing with people, almost everything has an element of difference.
So, imagine my surprise when a colleague asked me if I was wearing a DVF skirt today. In a split second it was as if I was back in NYC working in fashion, reading up on it obsessively, and going to sample sales. We discussed our mutual admiration of DVF for a few minutes before getting back to work, and although brief, it was nice to have a conversation that tied back to home, no matter how loosely connected.
