Today was an important first: on a whim while grocery shopping, I decided to deviate from my usual list and pick up a few Korean products, specifically rice cakes and assorted sauces. Making tteokbokki at home was worth a shot, especially since I crave it now and again, and I don't know of any good restaurant options in my neighborhood. I kept things simple since it was my inaugural attempt, and the results weren't bad. Made two servings and wound up eating both.
