Taxes + Ecclesiastes

Filled out my tax forms tonight. I went the old school route and completed them by hand -no TurboTax or e-filing this year for me.

I also read through Ecclesiastes. Wow, that book is heavy. I may need to read a commentary to make sense of it. Right now, all I can think about are the recurring words:
 Everything is meaningless!

  1. life is empty and meaningless and it's empty and meaningless that it's empty and meaningless.

meaning is what you give it.

  2. life is meaningless when all we do is fulfill the flesh and not the spirit....i think that is what solomon meant. call me an optimist but for me, life is rich with my LORD lighting the path of it! love you sweet girl! xox - a.n.

  3. I think you quoted the wisest man who ever lived (not in the context that you had to pay taxes) because Solomon's life choices, apart from God, were empty and meaningless.
    Love you,
