Christmas Surprise(s)

What an unexpected treat to walk into work today and find a big box with my name on it. I halfheartedly tried to be nonchalant about it -especially because no one else had a package waiting for them, and I didn't want to make anyone feel bad. Ultimately though my excitement was uncontainable, and I dove inside. My dear godmother sent me lots of wrapped treats from back home (including her homemade candied nuts which smell like sugar mapley bliss), and she even threw in some Christmas ornaments, too. So grateful for your thoughtfulness, Aunt Nan. Can't wait to decorate my little studio.

Also waiting for me was a card from my niece. She is such a doll and a genius, too. Amazing how articulately she already expresses herself ;)

To receive these two fun surprises in one day was really something. However, this morning I received yet another surprise, one which truly astonished me. I'd like to tell you about it...
