People's Park
Believe it or not, Shanghai has several parks interspersed throughout its myriad concrete towers. People's Park is the city's version of NYC's Central Park, and in my humble opinion, equally impressive. As I meandered around, I saw many lotus flowers in bloom and large, leafy trees. I caught glimpses of seniors engrossed in card games and young kids posing for pictures against a stunning backdrop of lily pad covered ponds. Despite the sweltering heat, it was a delight to stroll the grounds.
